Get Your Pilot License at Falcon Field

We want to thank our students from both Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ and Scottsdale, AZ for their flight training this year. We have had plenty of incredible pilots pass through our doors and we are honored to facilitate their hobbies, passion, and careers. It’s with great pleasure that Tom and Eric serve the students of both the East and West Valleys to support each students’ dream.

Things, they are a changing… sadly Leopard Aviation must inform students that come January 1, 2024 flight operations and student flight lessons will end at the Scottsdale airport.  With the airport’s FBOs expanding their jet operations by signing contracts with major charter operators, many flight schools at the airport have been given this bad news.  Scottsdale airport hasn’t always been conducive to flight training with the increased volume of IFR jet traffic making getting in out a lengthy endeavor, but it has been our home since we first opened our doors in April of 2020.  We apologize for the inconvenience this is going to cause our North Phoenix students.

Leopard Aviation will be retaining offices at the Scottsdale airport and will continue to teach ground school at this location. The offices will also remain open for new students to inquire about lessons, timing, certificate requirements, flight school financing, and more. Please feel free to drop in any time to learn more. Leopard Aviation Scottsdale airport address is as follows:

Flight Lessons in Mesa

With this news comes some exciting news; Leopard Aviation is expanding the flight school facilities at Falcon Field. This development is being completed in Q1 of 2024.  Falcon is perhaps the best airport in the valley for flight training and general aviation.  The Mesa airport offers more affordable operating costs and these savings can be passed on to students. The Mesa airport enables more efficient lessons with more time in the air.  Falcon Field will be Leopard Aviation’s flagship campus for years to come.

Get your flight lessons in Mesa while the planes are here and getting your pilot license can be expedited if you have the time. Ask us how.

Leopard Aviation is thriving and continually looking at other options around Phoenix and beyond for satellite locations to operate out of.  It’s also with much excitement that we inform everyone our fleet will be expanding dramatically over the next two months.  As some already know, we welcomed the first of ten brand new Cessna 172s in November (N760LA).

We will be taking delivery of two more airplanes towards the end of December, with the remaining seven airplanes coming throughout January and February.  We appreciate the patience all of our students and instructors have had throughout the last couple of months after the storm in September damaged several airplanes irreparably.

For our Falcon Field students, there will be no change other than seeing some new faces.  For our Scottsdale students, please let us know if you have any questions regarding transitioning to Falcon Field. For those choosing to follow us to Falcon, we’re sure the experience will be even better than what you’ve grown accustomed to.
